My loving partner and I have been working towards emotional health for a few years. We identified symptoms of anxiety, stress, low motivation, and irritability and began to take GABA, 5-HTP, and other neurotransmitter supplements in the summer of 2011. At that time we did not make the connection between our emotional symptoms and the gastrointestinal symptoms we we experiencing. As we have been increasing our intake of our supplements, rather than finding balance, we began to search for other solutions.  Upon reading about the GAPS diet a few months ago, we decided that we would would immerse ourselves in it and hopefully heal. This is our journey.
